Confirming the Faith

Confirmation at Good Shepherd is a three-year program typically covered in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade, with a Confirmation and Affirmation of Baptism service held in the spring of the 8th grade year.

From September to May, our students journey through the basics of the faith with the encouragment of a small group of peers and the guidance of one adult guide.

On a typical Wednesday evening, our "guide groups" gather together as a large group to encounter God's Word through songs, prayer, games, and more during the main lesson and theme presentation. Then students meet in their guide groups to clarify their understanding of the lesson and engage in prayer, opportunities for service, and friendships centered on the gospel of Jesus Christ.
